Today we are going through some of the indicative verses of the Qur’an that talk about the attributes of the dwellers of Paradise, may Allah make it our eternal house! They start with urging all people to hasten to the forgiveness of Allah and Paradise whose width is as far as between the heaven and the earth. Almighty Allah says,
And hasten to forgiveness from your Lord and a garden as wide as the heavens and earth, prepared for the righteous. Who spend [in the cause of Allah] during ease and hardship and who restrain anger and who pardon the people – and Allah loves the doers of good. And those who, when they commit an immorality or wrong themselves [by transgression], remember Allah and seek forgiveness for their sins – and who can forgive sins except Allah? – and [who] do not persist in what they have done while they know. Those – their reward is forgiveness from their Lord and gardens beneath which rivers flow [in Paradise], wherein they will abide eternally; and excellent is the reward of the [righteous] workers. (Aal `Imrah 3:133-136)
In this video, Sheikh Nouman Ali Khan touches on some of the attributes mentioned in these verses specifically benevolence and controlling one’s anger. In fact, we are in dire needs of these important acts that Islam invites to. The world today is stricken by massive troubles and calamities and the solutions to most of these problems are shown in the Qur’an. We need to control our aggressive and hostile feelings towards others. We need to replace these passive feelings with the notions of benevolence and giving.
Enjoy watching this video to know more about the attributes of the people of paradise and the eternal bliss waiting for them in the afterlife.
